Our standard
CharlotteSpecial.com may accept paid placements, sponsorships, or other commercial relationships. When a listing or message is paid for, sponsored, or materially connected to an advertiser, we aim to label that relationship clearly.
How paid content is labeled
- Paid listings may be labeled as paid placement, sponsor message, sponsored, advertisement, or a similar disclosure.
- Sponsored content should remain separate from editorial listings when the layout allows.
- Labels should be placed where readers can see them before relying on the content.
Editorial listings
Editorial listings are selected, edited, or organized for readers. A venue can submit a tip without buying advertising. Submission does not guarantee publication, placement, wording, ranking, or continued listing.
Sponsored listings
Sponsored listings may be reviewed for clarity, formatting, and site fit, but advertisers may have paid for inclusion or visibility. Sponsored content must still avoid false or misleading claims.
Affiliate links
If the site uses affiliate links in the future, we may earn a commission when readers click or buy through those links. We will identify affiliate relationships when they are used.
